Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Paro and Drive to Thimphu (1.5 hours)
The airport is set against a backdrop of towering Himalayan peaks, including some of the most majestic mountain in Bhutan. As you approach the airport, you’ll be captivated by dramatic landscape that includes lush green valleys and rugged mountain. You will be greeted by our local guide and escort you to Thimphu Capital city of Bhutan. After processing with your check in hotel get some rest. Afternoon Visit Buddha Dordenma a giant Shakyamuni Buddha statue located on a hilltop. Spend time enjoying the panoramic views of the valley and explore the surrounding park. Later visit Tashichho Dzong The main administrative center of Bhutan and a beautiful fortress. Visit during the evening when the dzong is beautifully lit. Overnight stay in Thimphu Hotel
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast visit National Memorial Chorten. A stupa built in memory of the third king Jigme Dorji Wangchuk of Bhutan. Participate in the local rituals; observe people circumambulating the chorten. Afternoon visit Folk Heritage Museum and National Textile Museum. Learn about Bhutanese culture and textiles. Spend about an hour at each museum to appreciate the exhibits. Evening in Free Time in Thimphu Explore local markets or relaxes at a café. Try traditional Bhutanese tea. Day 3: Drive to Punakha (approx. 2.5 hours)
Leaving Thimphu you climb to cross the Dochu La Pass, 3,048m/10,000ft, a spot marked by 108 chortens. Here, weather permitting you may take in a magnificent mountain visit and photos. On clear days there are fabulous views of the eastern Himalaya. This is a very atmospheric spot even on misty days. You then drive down through varied forest into the lush Punakha Valley.
Afternoon Visit Punakha Dzong. One of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan located at the confluence of two rivers Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu. Explore the architecture and take photographs. Be respectful as it is an active monastery.Evening visits Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten a beautiful stupa with stunning views. Hike about 30 minutes to reach the stupa. Enjoy the sunset view over the valley. Overnight in Punakha Hotel
Day 4: Drive to Phobjikha (approx. 1.5 hours)
Enjoy the scenic route through pine forests and terraced fields. Afternoon visit Gangtey Monastery. A significant monastery in the region with beautiful architecture. Explore the monastery and participate in any ongoing rituals. Evening explore Phobjikha Valley Known for its scenic landscapes and black-necked cranes (in winter). Take a leisurely walk around the valley, soaking in the natural beauty. Overnight in Phobjikha Hotel
Day 5: Drive to Paro (approx. 3 hours)
Drive to Paro, stopping for photos along the way. Afternoon visit Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) A stunning fortress that houses monastic institutions. Explore the dzong and enjoy views of the surrounding area. Later in evening visit Kyichu Lhakhang One of the oldest temples in Bhutan, dating back to the 7th century. Spend some time exploring this sacred site. Overnight stay in Paro Hotel
Day 6: Hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery (3120m) (4-5hrs}
The best is kept for last! The Taktsang Monastery, also famously known as the Tiger’s Nest, one of the famous tourist spot in Bhutan, was built in 1692 by the then ruler Gyalsey Tenzin Rabgye and is one of the 13 Tiger Nest caves of historic Tibet in which Guru Padmashambava practiced and preached Vajrayana Buddhism. The monastery lies at an altitude of 3120 meters and offers a magnificent view of the Paro valley. The hike excursion takes anywhere between 3 to 5 hours depending on the level of fitness.
Round up the visit to the country with an evening of cultural program and farewell dinner. Overnight stay in Paro Hotel.
Day 7: Departure from Paro
Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel in Paro. Take in the last views of the beautiful Bhutanese landscape and reflect on your journey before you leave.
• Transfer to Paro International Airport:
• Your guide and driver will assist with your luggage and accompany you to Paro International Airport for your departure flight. The airport is located just a short drive from central Paro (approx. 15–20 minutes).
• Airport Check-In: Arrive at least 2 hours before your flight to allow enough time for check-in and security procedures.End of Tour: Depart with wonderful
